Office Safety Policies
We believe that everyone deserves excellent care, regardless of race, color, sex, gender identity, religion, ethnic origin, ancestry, physical abilities, neurodiversity, age, or sexual orientation. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and respectful environment for staff and patients. We have a zero-tolerance policy for threatening or inappropriate behaviors. This includes: swearing, threats or threatening behaviors, concealing or using a weapon, unwanted physical contact, sexual harassment, and discriminatory remarks.
Failure to abide by this policy may result in you being discharged from the practice immediately.
Resident and Student Policies
Nimbus Family Medicine Clinic is a teaching practice. We have Medical and Nurse Practitioner students and Family Practice Residents in our office.
Students are currently in school and will see you alongside their supervising practitioner.
Residents are fully qualified doctors with a medical license to practice. They are able to diagnose, order tests, and write prescriptions. The purpose of a residency is to learn a specialty in family medicine. Our residents are required to review each appointment with their supervising doctor on the same day the patient is seen. We expect all of our patients to see residents some of the time, and seeing residents can be a great way to get fresh eyes on an old problem.
No Show and Cancellation Policies
If you miss an appointment without providing proper notice, another patient is prevented from receiving care. We require a minimum of 1 full business day’s notice to cancel an appointment. We charge for all missed appointments or appointments canceled without notice.
Multiple missed appointments or late notice cancellations may result in termination from our practice.
Office Access
Due to an ever-growing increase in complexity of care, your appointment is booked for one issue only. This allows our doctors to fully investigate your concern with appropriate attention.
Please book additional appointments for each issue.
Please contact us at least two weeks in advance for all routine prescription refills.
